Frequently asked questions
How do I apply to extras casting calls?
Open the casting call you are interested in: each one has its own page with the role and the closing date. For listings from production companies and agencies, you apply through the original post. For Casting and Acting community calls, you apply right on the page with your account.
Are extras casting calls paid?
It depends on each casting call, so read the listing carefully before you submit. A legitimate casting never charges you to take part. If they ask for money to sign up, for headshots or for a mandatory class, it is a scam. How to spot a fake casting call.
How often are new casting calls added?
The page is updated every day with open casting calls, and the ones that close drop off the list. To hear about new ones as soon as they open, turn on the alerts for your country: you get one email a day, only when there are new casting calls.
Do I need experience or an agent?
Many casting calls accept people with no experience, especially commercials, film school shorts and independent theater. Each listing spells out the profile they want. Having your headshots, resume and a short video ready helps you submit fast.
