What they are looking for
A Richmond, Virginia, filmmaker connected to the Movie Magpie screenplay site is shooting a short film or phone reel with a Halloween comedy theme and needs four or five actors, male and female, ages 18 to 24. It is a half day shoot on October 30, October 31 or November 1 within Richmond city limits, depending on everyone's availability. It is paid: $50, plus a copy of the film and any raw footage you want for your reel. Email a headshot, and include past comedic roles or social media reels if you have them. The listing does not mention union status. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
The shoot is in two days, so write today with your headshot and the days you are free between October 30 and November 1. Since it is a Halloween comedy shot for phones, a short vertical clip where you get a laugh counts more than a long dramatic reel. If you have your own costume or makeup kit, mention it, because it helps on small productions. Ask them to confirm the exact address and call time for the half day before you go.
