How to spot a fake casting callWhat they are looking for
A production company is looking for actors for what the listing calls a major commercial, based in Bogotá, Colombia. The profile is men ages 20 to 27 with singing skills and a passport. It is paid, although the listing does not give an amount. It also leaves out the brand and the shoot dates. The call closes November 11, and contact happens over WhatsApp. The listing does not say who is casting, so make sure it is a legitimate call before you send your details. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
Record a short clip of yourself singing about 30 seconds of a song you know well, unaccompanied, and add a front facing photo in natural light. Since contact is over WhatsApp, a brief message with your age, city and singing experience works best. Asking for a passport may mean travel, so ask whether there is a trip and who pays for it. It also helps to learn the amount and the company name before sharing personal details.
