What they are looking for
Students at Universidad de Palermo, a private university in Buenos Aires, are casting an actress ages 19 to 26 for a short play, about 15 to 20 minutes long, for one of their classes. It is based on «Lúcido» by the Argentine playwright Rafael Spregelburd. You need to live in Buenos Aires and be free on Mondays until 5 p.m. and on Fridays after 6 p.m. for rehearsals. It is unpaid; they cover travel and catering. Send photos and a resume by email. Submissions close on October 27. Apply through the original listing.
How to approach it
Read «Lúcido» before you write: knowing Spregelburd's play lets you say in your email what draws you to the text and arrive with a sense of its tone. Since the listing does not specify materials, send a headshot, your resume and, if you have one, a short video of a monologue. Check that Mondays before 5 p.m. and Fridays after 6 p.m. stay free for you, and ask when the play will be presented for the class.
It takes you to the original listing from Estudiantes de la Universidad de Palermo: you apply there. Never pay to audition.
