What they are looking for
North Carolina Stage Company is seeking Equity actors for «Primary Trust» by Eboni Booth, directed by Angie Flynn-McIver. Roles are Kenneth and Bert, two Black men in their 30s to 40s; Corrina and other characters, a Black woman in her 30s to 40s; and Sam, Clay and other characters, a man of any race ages 40 to 60. The Equity audition is November 19 in Asheville by appointment, set up by email, and consists of sides sent once your slot is confirmed. Video submissions with headshot and resume are accepted until 7:30 PM that day. Rehearsals start March 2, and the show runs March 24 through April 11, 2027. It is paid: $496 per week minimum on an Equity SPT contract. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
«Primary Trust» is an intimate play with gentle humor, so reading it first helps you understand Kenneth's routine and how Bert exists only for him. Request your slot by email, which the theater prefers, and reach out Wednesday through Friday. If you send a video, state your name and the role at the start and use a private link. Make sure you can stay in Asheville from March into April, since the contract runs six weeks.
