What they are looking for
Tuacahn Center for the Arts, the outdoor amphitheater in Ivins, Utah, is holding an Equity Principal Audition in Los Angeles for its 2027-28 season, which includes Alan Menken's Hercules. They are casting leads such as Hercules, Meg, Hades, Phil, and the five Muses, open to all ethnicities and gender identities. The audition is January 7, 2027, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Screenland Studios in North Hollywood. Hercules rehearsals start March 16 and the show runs May 22 to October 23, 2027. It is an Equity call. It is paid: $1,320 weekly minimum (LORT B+) or $889 (LORT D), plus travel to Utah, shared housing, and shared cars. Prepare a short song that shows off your voice and have a contrasting piece ready. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
Pick your song for the role you are targeting: a pop belt with attitude for Meg, something big and comic for Hades, gospel for the Muses. Have a second song in a different style ready, because they may ask for it. This is a season of almost eight months in Utah, so think about whether you can relocate from March to October, and bring your Equity card.
