What they are looking for
Tuacahn Center for the Arts is looking for Equity chorus dancers for its 2027-28 season in Ivins, Utah, which includes Alan Menken's Hercules. The ensemble plays many characters across all three shows, and featured roles and understudies are cast from it. The audition is Friday, December 4, 2026, at 3 p.m. at the Entrada Dance Studio, first come, first served, with sign ups from 2:30 p.m. Come warmed up, bring jazz, character, ballet, and tap shoes, and have 16 bars ready to sing if asked. It is an Equity call. It is paid: $1,320 weekly minimum (LORT B+), plus travel, shared housing, and shared cars. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
The season mixes jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and some tap, so drill combinations in each style the week before. Bring all four pairs of shoes they list and arrive at 2:30 p.m. to sign up early. Prepare 16 bars of an upbeat musical number, since they want strong dancers who also sing. Hercules uses large scale puppets, so mention any puppetry experience you have.
