What they are looking for
Weathervane Theatre in Whitefield, New Hampshire, is seeking Equity chorus singers for its 2027 season, a ten show alternating repertory that includes Sister Act, Matilda, Escape to Margaritaville and Les Misérables. It wants versatile singers, dancers and actors of all gender and ethnic identities, and each performer appears in two to seven productions. Contracts run from 2 to 21 weeks, with rehearsals starting around June 7 and the season closing in October 2027. It is paid: an LOA contract with a $635 weekly minimum. The ECC is January 20 at the Equity audition center in New York, in two morning sessions; prepare a brief song and have more selections ready on request. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
With so many styles in the season, bring one main song and keep two very different ones on hand, say a classic Broadway number and something poppier for Margaritaville. The ensemble dances, so dress to move in case they ask for a combination. Sign up lists fill fast at chorus calls, so arrive early for the session you choose. Confirm you can stay in New Hampshire from June through October.
