What they are looking for
Fulton Theatre and Maine State Music Theatre are seeking Equity chorus dancers for the ensemble of their co-production of My Fair Lady. The roles are for women and men in their 20s through 50s, of any ethnicity, who sing and dance well and can cover featured ensemble parts such as the Loverly quartet, the servants and the Queen of Transylvania. Rehearsals at the Fulton begin April 1, 2027, and the Maine run plays in June. It is paid: $1,500 per week. The chorus call is December 13 at Ripley-Grier Studios in New York, with women in the morning and men in the afternoon; bring character or jazz shoes and be ready to learn a short combination from the show. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
Bring character shoes you have already broken in and clothing that shows your lines, since you will learn a combination from the show on the spot. Brush up on classic musical theater style, with period elegance rather than pop energy. Dancers are also considered for other shows in the Maine season, so list everything you sing and act on your resume.
