Tuacahn auditions: dates and places
First, Friday, December 4, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Tuacahn’s Entrada Dance Studio (1100 Tuacahn Drive, Ivins). Sign-up opens at 9:30 a.m. for the morning and 12:30 p.m. for the afternoon, first come, first served. That audition also has no Equity monitor. Instead, the producer runs everything.
Then, Thursday, January 7, 2027, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at Screenland Studios (10501 Burbank Blvd, North Hollywood, California), with an Equity monitor. Also, ensemble dancers have a separate call on this casting page.
Roles in the Tuacahn auditions
Hercules needs a Hercules ages 20 to 35, a Meg ages 25 to 30, and a Hades and a Phil ages 40 to 50. The five Muses are for Black women with gospel voices. The Prince of Egypt seeks men ages 20 to 30 for Moses and Ramses, plus young roles: Young Miriam and Young Aaron, ages 8 to 11, and Leah, ages 11 to 14.
Also, Hairspray sets ethnicity for several roles, such as Seaweed and Motormouth Maybelle, for Black performers. For Moses, Aaron, Yocheved and Miriam, the listing asks for Jewish descent. The ensemble, for example, needs strong singers and athletic dancers.
Rehearsals and performances
Hercules rehearses from March 16, 2027, opens May 22 and closes October 23. The Prince of Egypt rehearses from April 2 and closes October 22. Hairspray rehearses from June 7 and closes October 21.
Pay, contract and requirements
It is paid, under an Equity LORT Rep contract, and the listing spells out the weekly minimums. It also covers travel to Utah, and housing and cars are shared. The call is for members of Actors’ Equity, so bring your card. Then prepare a short song that shows off your voice, and a contrasting one in case they ask.
How to apply to the Tuacahn auditions
There is no online form and no online deadline, so you simply show up on the day you choose. The Utah listing is on Playbill, and the Los Angeles one is in this other Playbill listing. The official Tuacahn page still shows the 2026-27 season, so follow Playbill instead.
How to approach it
Before you pick your song, check the range of each role. For Hercules, for example, the listing mentions a sustained high G and a full A. If you plan to travel, read how to get auditions in the United States and our note on how to spot a fake casting call.
