How to spot a fake casting callWhat they are looking for
A university short film with a dramatic, emotionally intense tone is looking for actors ages 18 to 24 to portray a night out with friends. It shoots in downtown Buenos Aires and in Ingeniero Maschwitz, over two nights: you need to be free on November 14 and 15. The process includes an in person audition and, if you are chosen, a rehearsal before the shoot. It is unpaid. To apply, email your resume, reel or photos, and include where you live. The listing does not say who is casting, so make sure it is a legitimate call before you send your details. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
For a night out with dramatic weight, choose a scene where you go from relaxed to tense: it shows exactly that range. Include your neighborhood in the email, as they ask, because getting between downtown and Maschwitz at night is a real factor. Ask how you get home after the shoot and how intense the scenes are, so you know early if anything physical or sensitive is involved before you accept.
