How to spot a fake casting callWhat they are looking for
An agency is casting kids for a commercial for a major brand that shoots in Bogotá, Colombia. They are looking for boys and girls ages 8 to 10 with acting training who feel at ease in front of the camera and are not shy. Kids need to live in Bogotá or be able to get there for auditions and the shoot. It is paid, though the listing does not give the amount. Contact is through WhatsApp via the link in the listing, and the call closes on November 12. The listing does not say who is casting, so make sure it is a legitimate call before you send your details. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
Before you message on WhatsApp, get two current photos of your child ready: one headshot in natural light and one full body shot, with no filters. Since they want kids who are not shy, a short video of your child saying their name, age and something they love to do helps a lot. If they have taken acting classes, add a line about where. Ask for the agency's name, the pay amount and who stays with the child on set.
