What they are looking for
Golden Thread Productions, a San Francisco company focused on the Middle East, is holding general Equity auditions for its 2027 season. Actors may be considered for mainstage shows and for the New Threads Reading Series. All ages, races, genders, abilities and experience levels are welcome, and many roles are for actors of Middle Eastern heritage. Performers with clowning, dance, devised work or music skills are encouraged. It is paid under the Bay Area Theatre contract, $404 weekly minimum. Auditions are November 8 at Potrero Stage by appointment; book a slot and complete the form by November 6. First-timers prepare a one-minute monologue; for readings, choose a provided side. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
If this is your first audition with them, choose a one-minute monologue that shows voice, body and emotional range, as the listing asks, and if you have Middle Eastern roots, mention it on the form. If you want to read for New Threads, download the sides from the link and bring one prepared. Book your slot before November 6, because the schedule closes after that date.
