What they are looking for
Gilded Hour Theatre Company, a San Antonio, Texas, company, is casting Oscar Wilde's comedy The Importance of Being Earnest. The call is open to seasoned performers and to people who have never been on stage before. Auditions are virtual, by video, and have been extended through November 13, 2026; details and audition materials are on the company's website. Performances run the first two weekends of March, once the company's performance space is ready. The listing does not mention pay. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
Before you record, read the play or at least the first act: Wilde's humor lives in the rhythm and in saying absurd things with a completely straight face. Keep your video short, with clear diction and restrained gestures. Check the company's website for the scenes and roles they want. Since pay is not listed and performances are in March, ask about the rehearsal schedule and terms before you commit.
