What they are looking for

City Springs Theatre Company is holding an Equity open call for dancers for its production of Grease, directed and choreographed by Parker Esse. The call is Thursday, November 5, with two dance sessions at 3 PM and 4 PM Eastern, at the company studios at 8601 Dunwoody Place in Sandy Springs, with free parking. Warm up beforehand and wear clothes and shoes you can move in, since you will learn a short combination from the show. It is paid: the LOA contract carries a $677 weekly minimum. First rehearsal is April 5, 2027, and the run goes from April 30 to May 16, 2027. Sign up for a slot online and bring your Equity card. Apply through the original listing.

Castina's tip

Grease choreography leans on 1950s social dance, so spend the week before brushing up on swing, hand jive and jazz basics. Choose shoes you can really turn in and arrive early enough to stretch, since the combination is taught fast. Pick the 3 PM or 4 PM session based on when you dance your best. Before you sign up, make sure you are free from early April through mid May 2027.
