How to spot a fake casting callWhat they are looking for
A production company in Bogotá, Colombia, is casting a commercial that needs real mother and son pairs. They are looking for women ages 30 to 40 with a son ages 8 to 10, to appear together on screen. It is paid, though the listing gives neither the amount nor the shoot date. To apply, send both names, ages and heights, photos of the two of you and a short ID video of each. The call is for people in Bogotá. The listing does not say who is casting, so make sure it is a legitimate call before you send your details. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
What sells here is the bond between you, so add a photo of the two of you laughing together, on top of the individual straight on shots. Record the ID videos horizontally in window light: each of you says your name, age and something you like, without a memorized script. Before you send photos of your son, ask for the brand name, the pay for each of you and the image usage.
