ACC Drama at Austin Community College is casting Yeast Nation, the rock musical from the creators of Urinetown, for its spring 2027 season. They are looking for a diverse ensemble of 10 or more, open to students and the community alike. It is unpaid, and the listing does not mention a union. You can send a video by November 15 or attend the in-person audition on November 16 at the Highland Campus; callbacks are November 23. Bring a headshot, a resume, a 32-bar cut of a pop or rock musical song and a 1 to 2 minute monologue. Rehearsals run January through February, and performances run February 26 to March 13. Pick a pop or rock song from a contemporary musical rather than a Golden Age standard, since the show is a satire with a rock score and they ask for that style.
