What they are looking for
University students in Bogotá are casting a boy ages 15 to 17 for the short film "La presa". The character is a slim, fair-skinned young man with a youthful look, strong features and a defined nose. It is paid. Send a portfolio with photos and any acting material you have. Since the role is for a minor, a parent or guardian should submit or supervise the application. The call closes on November 1 and is marked urgent. The listing does not say who is casting, so make sure it is a legitimate call before you send your details. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
Since the casting focuses so much on features, build the portfolio with one front-facing photo and one in profile, in natural light and without filters, plus a full-length shot in simple clothes. When your parent or guardian writes, have them ask which university is behind the short, what it pays and which days and hours it films, so it can be arranged around school. Because it is marked urgent, send everything well before November 1.
