Quick answer: the modeling agencies Dallas and Fort Worth have on this list all take applications online. Kim Dawson also holds open calls for new faces. You send natural digitals and your measurements through each agency’s own form or email. Texas no longer licenses talent agencies, so check every agency yourself. A real one never charges you to join.
This guide covers Dallas, Fort Worth and two suburbs, Richardson and Allen. Casting and Acting isn’t an agency and doesn’t represent anyone. In November 2026 we checked each agency’s official website for its boards, its address and how it takes new talent. We left out modeling schools and parked sites. We also left out an agency that asks new models to pay for a portfolio shoot first. The order isn’t a ranking, and there are no prices here.
What Dallas Agencies Book
A modeling agency represents you to clients, sends you to castings and negotiates each booking. In return, it earns a commission on the work it books, and your booker runs your schedule. In US terms the role overlaps with a talent agent. That’s why so many modeling agencies in Dallas represent actors too.
Most agencies on this list are full service. Kim Dawson, which opened in 1959 according to its site, represents models, actors, influencers and artists of all ages. The Campbell Agency, founded in 1989, covers fashion, commercial print, runway, kids, on-camera talent and voiceover. Wallflower Management lists fashion print, runway, commercial print and TV or film projects. The Clutts Agency, meanwhile, also represents stylists, hair and makeup artists and locations.
Trade shows and events are part of the picture too. For example, The Ross Agency keeps a trade show and promotion board. Alice Laura Models, for its part, does much of its work at conventions and corporate events. Kim Dawson’s FAQ adds a useful detail: most of its clients shoot within driving distance of Dallas, Austin or Houston.
How to Apply to Modeling Agencies in Dallas
Digitals come first. Kim Dawson, for instance, asks for four: portrait, full length, smiling and profile. Take them with a phone in soft natural light, with no filters, makeup, hats or sunglasses. The Campbell Agency also wants four, in a swimsuit or fitted clothes with minimal makeup. Its list is a smiling headshot, a headshot without a smile, a three-quarter shot and a full-body shot. Neither agency needs professional photos.
Next come your measurements. Have your height, bust or chest, waist, hips, dress or suit size and shoe size ready, plus hair and eye color. For kids, The Clutts Agency also asks for clothing size, height, weight and date of birth.
Height and Open Calls
Height matters most on fashion boards. Kim Dawson scouts women from 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet barefoot. If you’re under 16 and still growing, its minimum drops to 5 feet 7 inches. Men run from 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches, and the big and tall division goes up to 6 feet 6 inches. Campbell’s ranges, by comparison, are close. It looks for women from 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet, ages 14 and up. Men should measure 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 3 inches.
Kim Dawson holds open calls for new faces ages 14 to 22 and posts the dates on its Instagram. Check the agency’s page for current open call hours, since dates change. The Ross Agency also lists open casting calls among its ways in. Everywhere else, you apply by form or email. Campbell and Alice Laura ask you not to call to follow up, and Kim Dawson and Callidus don’t take walk-ins.

Full-Service Modeling Agencies in Dallas
Kim Dawson Agency
Kim Dawson Agency works from Turtle Creek Boulevard and calls itself a full-service agency for all ages. Its boards include mainboard, new faces, curve, classic, runway, lifestyle, big and tall and kids. You apply through Get Scouted. Then an agent writes within two weeks, but only if the agency wants to set up an appointment. Its FAQ says there’s no upfront fee because the agency works on commission. It also says the agency doesn’t run a modeling school.
The Campbell Agency
Nancy Campbell founded The Campbell Agency in 1989. Today it works from the Hidden Grove building on Park Central Drive, in North Dallas. Its fashion side includes curve, classic and runway boards, and the runway division goes by Campbell Wagner Runway. Models apply on the Join Us page. Kids’ print, from age 2, and adult commercial print go by email instead, as the same page explains. Those departments hold no open calls.
Wallflower Management
Wallflower Management describes itself as a boutique agency with a curated board. Besides women and men, it shows lifestyle boards (with juniors), kids, and hair and makeup artists. The submission form asks for your date of birth, location and social accounts. Then it takes five photos: headshot, profile, full length, three-quarter and smile. Its site places the agency in Dallas, although it doesn’t list a street address.
Commercial and Print Agencies Around Dallas
These three modeling agencies around Dallas lean toward commercials, print and on-camera work. So they suit models who act or want to start.
The Clutts Agency
The Clutts Agency, founded in 1997, is a SAG-AFTRA franchised agency on Market Center Boulevard. Its print boards cover men and women, and its kids and teens divisions combine print and talent. For print modeling at any age, from babies to adults, send recent snapshots through the representation page. Include a smiling close-up and a full-body shot. Actors also need a resume or acting classes. In your message, say if you’re submitting for acting, modeling or both.
Callidus Agency
Callidus Agency, founded in 2010, is a SAG-AFTRA franchised agency in Richardson. Its fashion and runway division looks for women from 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet, ages 13 to 30. Men should be 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 3 inches, ages 15 to 35. You email your stats, a headshot without makeup and a full-body photo in fitted clothes, as its website explains. Meanwhile, its on-camera and commercial print division takes kids from age 4, plus teens and adults.
The Horne Agency
The Horne Agency, in Allen, describes itself as a full-service SAG-AFTRA franchised talent agency. It represents adults and children over 6 for film, TV, commercials, industrials, radio, print and live performances. Its submission page takes only professional actors who live in the Dallas area, with a headshot and a resume. So it suits models who already act.
Fort Worth, Trade Shows and Events
The Ross Agency
The Ross Agency, formed in 2003, has its office on Crockett Street in Fort Worth. It calls itself a SAG-AFTRA franchise for models, talent and athletes. Its boards include fitness, parts, swimsuit, bilingual, and trade show and promotion. However, it doesn’t represent children right now. To apply, use the submit page or send an email with photos and your full measurements.
Alice Laura Models
Alice Laura Models calls itself a model and premium staffing agency. It began in Berlin and now works from North Central Expressway in Dallas. Much of its work is trade shows, conventions and events, along with fashion and commercial shoots. Its application splits fashion and event models from commercial models. Fashion and event models must be 21 to 40. Women should be at least 5 feet 7 inches, and men at least 5 feet 11 inches. Commercial models can be any age or size, but they need on-camera experience. It doesn’t hold open calls, and it replies only if it wants to set up an appointment.
Curve, Big and Tall, Men and Kids
- Curve: Kim Dawson and Campbell both show curve boards.
- Men: Kim Dawson and Campbell scout men for fashion, including big and tall. Wallflower, Callidus and Ross also represent men.
- Kids and teens: Kim Dawson takes kids and babies, with girls up to size 10 and boys up to size 10/12. Campbell’s children’s print division starts at age 2, and Callidus starts at 4. Clutts covers babies to teens, and Wallflower has kids and juniors boards.
Texas Licenses and How to Check an Agency
Texas used to register talent agencies, but House Bill 3167 abolished that state regulation. It repealed Chapter 2105 of the Occupations Code, effective September 1, 2011. So, unlike California, Texas has no state talent agency license for you to look up.
That puts the checking on you. Ask for the contract in writing and read the commission, the length and the exclusivity before you sign. Then check that the agency has a real office and a website on its own domain. Ask for references, too, as the FTC suggests. If something goes wrong, you can file a consumer complaint with the Texas Attorney General.
Kids and Teens: Parents and Texas Rules
A parent or guardian should run every step, from the first submission to the contract. Choose modeling agencies in Dallas that show a kids division on their site. And never let a child go to a casting or a shoot alone.
Texas child labor laws apply to every child under 18 who works in the state, even if the family lives elsewhere. For child actors under 14, the Texas Film Commission explains that the Texas Workforce Commission must authorize the job first. Extras, however, are the exception. A parent or legal guardian signs the application, which needs a recent photo and proof of age. The authorization comes as an ID card. It’s valid until the child turns 14, unless the commission sets an earlier date.
That page speaks to film and TV productions. For a print booking, ask the agency in writing which rules apply. For more, see our guides to auditions for kids and teens and baby acting and modeling.
Red Flags and Modeling Scams
The FTC’s page on modeling scams sums up the core rule: never pay an agency up front. Real agencies don’t charge for a test shoot, and they let you hire your own photographer and makeup artist. Scammers, on the other hand, guarantee work, promise big money and rush you to sign.
Here, the line between schools, photo studios and agencies can blur. For example, one Dallas-area agency we checked asks new models to pay for a professional photo shoot. It also charges for each photo it posts to its online portfolio, so it isn’t on this list. The FTC’s December 2025 alert describes another script. An unexpected text invites you to a virtual casting call, and then someone asks you to pay. Its advice fits every case: never pay to get paid.
Real agencies also tell you how they’ll contact you. Kim Dawson, for example, says it only emails from its own domain. It also asks anyone scouted on social media to submit through its website. If you already paid, report it at ReportFraud.ftc.gov. For more warning signs, read how to spot a fake casting call.

Frequently asked questions
Do modeling agencies in Dallas charge a fee to join?
A legitimate agency charges nothing to join. Kim Dawson, for example, says it has no upfront fee and works on commission. A fee to register, to shoot your photos or to take a required class is a red flag.
Does Texas license modeling agencies?
It used to register talent agencies, but the state repealed that law in 2011. Instead, check the contract, the office and the agency’s own website, and ask for references before you sign.
Do Dallas agencies hold open calls?
Kim Dawson holds open calls for new faces ages 14 to 22 and announces them on Instagram. The Ross Agency mentions open casting calls too. Most of the others, however, work by online submission. Campbell, for one, has no open calls for its kids, talent or commercial print departments.
Can my child join a modeling agency in Dallas?
Yes, with a parent or guardian in charge. Kim Dawson, Campbell, Clutts, Wallflower and Callidus show kids divisions. Kim Dawson’s kids and babies must live within an hour of Dallas, though. The Ross Agency doesn’t represent children right now.
Do I have to live in Dallas?
It depends on the agency. Kim Dawson represents teens and adults across Texas and the bordering states, while The Horne Agency only takes actors who live in the Dallas area. Ask before you apply if you live farther away.
