What they are looking for
Playwright and director Gabriela Spezzi is casting an original comedy drama about family ties, love, rivalry and what keeps a family together even when its members try to drift apart. She is looking for an actor ages 45 to 55 and an actress ages 43 to 53, with stage experience, solid training and a willingness to dig into character work. Casting takes place in November, in person rehearsals in Buenos Aires start in December and the opening is planned for April 2027. It is unpaid: this is an independent production run as a cooperative. Send an acting resume with your contact details and social media, recent photos, a reel if you have one and your availability, with "Actor" or "Actriz" in the subject line. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
For a comedy drama about family, a reel that shows both sides works best: one funny moment and one more restrained, all under two minutes. For photos, go for something everyday in natural light, someone you could picture lingering at the dinner table. Think of a family relationship of your own to use as a starting point. Rehearsals run from December to April, so before you apply, make sure you can commit to five months of in person rehearsals.
