How to spot a fake casting callWhat they are looking for
A production company that the listing does not name is looking for young Colombian actors for a new feature film being prepared in Bogotá. They want men ages 18 to 28, either working actors or still in training, who are eager to explore and come across as authentic on camera. Filming is planned for the first or second half of 2027. For this first round you fill out a form and send photos, a short introduction and two acting exercises the production has prepared. It is paid, though the listing does not give the amount. It closes December 8. The listing does not say who is casting, so make sure it is a legitimate call before you send your details. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
Take your time with the two exercises the production sends: read them several times and shoot more than one take before you pick one. In your introduction, give your name, age, city and training in under 30 seconds while looking into the lens. Photos should be a headshot and a full-body shot in natural light. Since the listing does not name the company, check who the form actually goes to and walk away if anyone asks for money at any step.
