How to spot a fake casting callWhat they are looking for
An agency urgently needs stand-ins, the people who take the actors' places while each shot is lit, for a feature film shooting in Bogotá, Colombia. They want women 18 and up who are at least 5 feet 5 inches (1.65 m) tall and men 18 and up who are at least 5 feet 9 inches (1.75 m) tall, with no beard or mustache. Everyone must have no tattoos and hair in a single color. You need to be available from November 9 to December 12, 2026. It is paid, although the listing does not give the amount, and submissions close on November 16. The listing does not say who is casting, so make sure it is a legitimate call before you send your details. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
For a stand-in job your measurements matter more than your acting, so send a full body photo in fitted clothes plus a headshot, and list your exact height. The shoot starts on November 9, so it pays to write right away. A full month of availability is a lot: ask how many days they need you, what the call times are and the day rate. If you have highlights or a visible tattoo, say so up front.
