How to spot a fake casting callWhat they are looking for
A professional short film is set to shoot in Madrid between December 4 and 8. The production is looking for three age ranges, with roles open to any gender: actors ages 18 to 30, 40 to 55 and 70 to 80. Everyone needs to speak Spanish and be available to work in Madrid on the shoot dates. It is paid, although the listing does not give the amount. Submissions go through a profile on the casting platform and close on November 23. The listing does not say who is casting, so make sure it is a legitimate call before you send your details. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
Since the roles are split by age range and the listing barely describes characters, make sure your profile clearly shows the age you read: a recent front-facing headshot in natural light and a full-body shot. If you have a reel, upload a short scene in Spanish with a natural, grounded tone. Before you commit, ask who is producing the film, what the pay is and which exact days you would work within the December 4 to 8 shoot.
