What they are looking for
Perfect Crime, the long running Warren Manzi thriller playing Off Broadway in New York, is looking for a temporary replacement for detective James Ascher. He is a confident, strong and sharp investigator who clashes with, and falls for, the woman he suspects of murder. They are seeking Equity actors age 45 or older, ideally at least 6 feet tall. It is paid: an Off Broadway contract with a $1,153 weekly minimum for four months, from November 9, 2026 to February 28, 2027. Rehearsals start November 9 and the first performance is November 16. Send a headshot and resume by email by October 30. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
The role calls for classic detective charisma with humor and a sparring romance that gets physical, so send a strong headshot plus a full length shot that shows your height. Put any screwball comedy or crime work at the top of your resume. Rehearsals start ten days after the deadline and the contract runs through the end of February, so make sure you can commit to the full stretch in New York before you submit.
