What they are looking for
Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, Florida, is taking Equity submissions for On the Town, cast by Wojcik Casting Team and directed and choreographed by Marcia M. Dodge. Roles include the three sailors Gabey, Chip and Ozzie, men ages 23 to 32 who sing baritone and move well, plus Ivy Smith, Hildy and Claire, women ages 23 to 32; Ivy needs excellent ballet technique. It is paid under a LORT B+ contract at $1,320 per week minimum. Mail a cover letter, headshot and resume to the casting office in New York, listing the role, by November 9. Possible auditions are December 1 to 3, rehearsals start February 5, 2027, and the show runs March 2 to 21. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
Submissions go by postal mail to a New York P.O. box, so send yours several days ahead of November 9. In your cover letter, name the role and describe your dance training: every part needs strong movement, and Gabey and Ivy need real dancing. If you get called in, prepare a classic musical theater song in your range. Make sure you can be in Florida from February through March.
