What they are looking for
Virgin Voyages is holding New York City auditions for singers, dancers, drag artists and other performers for its onboard entertainment, which swaps classic Broadway cruise productions for immersive, modern shows. The cruise line says it wants diverse talent of every size, color and gender, and encourages people who think they do not fit the breakdown to show up anyway. The contract runs from January 3 to July 22, 2027. It is paid, from $1,000 to $1,500 per week, and it is non-union. Audition dates and sign-up are on the company's auditions page, linked in the listing. The listing does not give a closing date. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
On a cruise you will do several shows a week for months, so show range: if you sing and dance, prepare both. The listing asks for personality more than a physical type, and that should come through in your photo. Before you sign up, check the auditions page for the New York date and what to bring. Make sure you can be at sea from January to July 2027.
