How to spot a fake casting callWhat they are looking for
A health company is looking for women and men ages 30 to 40 for a video for its social media channels. The roles are office extras, a doctor and a patient. It is a small shoot of just a few hours in the Belgrano neighborhood of Buenos Aires, planned for about two weeks from now. It is paid, although the listing does not give the amount. To apply, email the address in the listing. The listing does not say who is casting, so make sure it is a legitimate call before you send your details. The listing does not give a closing date. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
Since the roles are office staff, a doctor and a patient, send a front-facing photo in natural light and a full-body shot in clothes that could pass for a clinic setting. In your email, say which role you want, your age and whether you are free over the next two weeks, because the shoot is short and coming up soon. It also helps to ask about the pay, the hours and which social media channels will use your image.
