What they are looking for
EB Talent, a casting agency in Buenos Aires, is looking for young men and women ages 18 to 30 for a television series. All looks are welcome, so this is an open call for a wide range of types. The listing leaves out the name of the series and the shooting dates, which are usually confirmed after the first round. It is paid. Send photos, your details and a phone number, with your name, your age and «CHICOS/AS TV» in the subject line. Submissions close on November 12. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
Copy the subject line exactly as requested: in such an open call, it helps keep your email from getting lost. Send one headshot and one full body photo, in natural light against a plain background, plus your height and where you live. When they call, ask whether the part is background work or has lines, what it pays and which days they shoot. If they ask you to pay for a portfolio or a sign-up fee, be wary.
