Modeling Agencies in Atlanta: 8 Agencies, What They Ask For and Georgia’s Rules

Quick answer: the modeling agencies Atlanta talent applies to range from fashion boards like Select and Click to model and talent agencies that also book film, TV and commercials. Most take new faces through an online form with natural digitals and your stats, and a real agency never charges you to join. In Georgia, every minor who works as a model also needs a state certification.

This guide covers eight modeling agencies in Atlanta and its suburbs, from West Midtown and Buckhead to Decatur. Casting and Acting isn’t an agency and doesn’t represent anyone. In November 2026 we read each agency’s official site for its boards, its address and its rules for new faces.

You won’t find a ranking here, and you won’t find commissions either, since each agency sets those in its own contract.

Atlanta’s Mix of Modeling and Screen Work

Many modeling agencies in Atlanta work on both sides of the camera. HOP, SLAMM and Forward represent actors as well as models. Atlanta Models & Talent (AMT), which traces its history to 1959, runs departments for TV and film, commercial and print work, voice-over, vertical video and youth. That matters if you want print and on-camera jobs, because these agencies list both kinds of work.

On the fashion side, Select and Click run women’s and men’s boards, while Ursula Wiedmann Models works as a mother agency. In its own words, it books models locally and places them nationally and internationally. Several agencies also show boards for families, fitness or kids. SLAMM, for example, lists fitness, curve, big and tall, families and children, and UWM has kids and families from toddlers to teens.

Whatever the board, your daily contact will be a booker, a role close to a talent agent in acting.

Applying to Modeling Agencies in Atlanta

The basic kit rarely changes. You need phone photos taken in daylight, your height and measurements, and sometimes a short video. Click, for example, asks for snapshots or polaroids with a clear headshot and a full-length shot, taken outside in natural light, with no makeup and a basic top and bottom. SLAMM accepts photos from a good phone or digital camera, as long as they’re clear, unretouched and free of filters, accessories and other people. Forward also wants a short personality video in MP4, on top of a close-up and a full-body shot.

Some agencies spell out their targets. UWM’s join page lists women from 13 to 24 and from 5’8″ to 6’0″, and men from 18 to 30 and from 5’11” to 6’3″. It’s also scouting curve women from 15 to 24, between 5’9″ and 6’0″, in sizes 10 to 14.

Open Calls and Response Times

Open calls are the exception in Atlanta. SLAMM says it doesn’t hold them and takes every submission online, and AMT says it disregards mail and walk-ins. If an agency does announce one, check the agency’s page for current open call hours before you go. As for timing, SLAMM says it replies within five business days when it’s interested, and HOP says it gets in touch only if it thinks you have the right look.

Fashion and Development Modeling Agencies in Atlanta

These four put fashion and new faces first, though most of them also book commercial work.

Select Model Management Atlanta

Select Atlanta is on Bishop Street NW, in West Midtown. Its Atlanta site shows women’s and men’s boards plus an artists division for hair and makeup. Applications go through Select’s central form, where you choose Atlanta as your office. Founded in 1977, Select merged with MP Management in 2019 and now lists eight offices, four of them in the US.

Click Models of Atlanta

Click Models of Atlanta is on Amwiler Road, northeast of the city, and belongs to Click, which its site says was founded in New York in 1980. Its women’s and men’s boards each split into main, new faces, lifestyle and runway, and its contact page lists a runway and showroom division.

The Become a Model form asks for your stats and two images. Another Atlanta agency, J Pervis Talent, sends fashion modeling applicants 13 and older to Click, which it calls its partner company.

Ursula Wiedmann Models

Ursula Wiedmann Models (UWM) is on New Street in Decatur. Founded by a former model, it calls itself a full-service development and management agency and a mother agent. Its boards cover women and men (mainboard, development, runway and life), non-binary, kids and families, talent and content creators.

UWM says it’s scouting new faces of all sizes, ages and gender identities. You can upload a headshot, a profile and a full-body shot on the join page, or email current snapshots. Its Scouted page adds that UWM isn’t a modeling school, earns a commission on your work and rarely signs fashion models under 16.

HOP Models & Talent

HOP Models & Talent has worked since 1997 and has its headquarters on Peachtree Road NE in Buckhead, plus offices in Chicago, Seattle and Dallas. It represents models, actors and athletes for editorial, fashion, runway, print, commercial, film and TV work. The Atlanta boards include mainboard, development, commercial, lifestyle and teen. Its submissions form requires a close-up, a full-body shot and a side profile, and you can add an upper-body photo, a resume and a reel.

Model and Talent Agencies in Atlanta

These four mix modeling with acting, commercials or both, and each one has a kids or youth division.

BMG Models Atlanta

BMG’s Atlanta office is on Peachtree Street NW. It belongs to a network founded in 1993, and its Atlanta boards are mainboard, direct, men, trans and non-binary, lifestyle, youth, teens and new faces. A single submission form serves the whole agency, with at least two photos and your measurements.

SLAMM Management

SLAMM Management opened in Atlanta in January 1996 and represents models, actors, athletes, influencers and artists. Its model boards run from mainboard, lifestyle and fitness to curve, big and tall, trans and non-binary, teens, children and families. The actor side covers children, teens, stunts and voice-over.

You apply on the join page as a model or as an actor, with up to four photos. SLAMM’s site lists a phone number and booking emails but no street address.

Forward The Agency

Forward The Agency is based in Atlanta and represents actors, models, influencers and talent of all ages and sizes. Its contact page lists departments for fashion and print, print kids, commercial and voice-over, film and TV, and dance. The Submit form covers models, actors, kids and dancers, and it asks for a close-up, a full-body shot and a personality video. Like SLAMM, Forward doesn’t publish a street address.

Atlanta Models & Talent (AMT)

AMT is on West Ponce de Leon Avenue in Decatur, and its divisions page covers TV and film, commercial, industrial and print, voice-over, vertical video and youth. When we checked, the commercial, industrial and print division wasn’t taking submissions. The youth department, however, was open to submissions by email, with a headshot and a resume. AMT says it disregards mail and walk-ins, so use the channel each department lists.

Curve, Big and Tall and Non-Binary Boards

Curve models can start with UWM, which is scouting curve women, and SLAMM, which runs curve and big and tall boards. BMG and SLAMM list trans and non-binary boards, UWM has a non-binary board, and Forward says it represents talent of all sizes. Men’s boards appear at Select, Click, UWM, HOP and BMG.

Kids and Teens: Georgia’s Minor Certification

A parent or guardian should handle every step for a child, from the application to the contract. Among the modeling agencies in Atlanta on this list, UWM has kids and families boards from toddlers to teens, SLAMM lists children, teens and families, and BMG has youth and teen boards. HOP keeps a teen board and Forward has a print kids department. AMT’s youth department, by contrast, focuses on TV, film, commercials and voice-over.

Georgia also requires certification. The Georgia Department of Labor’s Minors in Entertainment page says it’s illegal for a minor to work in Georgia without it, and its rules cover modeling, runway shows and still photographs. Minors register with the department, with the custodial parent or a court-approved legal guardian as their representative. Employers register too, and that group includes photographic modeling agencies.

Forward’s resources page puts it simply. All children need a minor number, and clients must register with the state when they book anyone under 18. The FTC also notes that the market for child models is very small. Read our guides to auditions for kids and teens and baby acting and modeling before you sign.

Red Flags and Modeling Scams in Atlanta

Start with the FTC’s page on modeling scams. It says you should never pay an agency up front, because real agencies get paid when you get paid. An agency should also let you hire your own photographer and makeup artist, and there are never any guarantees.

  • An upfront fee to join, to get on a board or to attend a casting.
  • A required class or shoot with the agency’s own photographer before it will represent you.
  • A scout who only writes through direct messages, with no website, office or agency email behind the account.
  • A request for nude or lingerie photos, and above all a request like that aimed at a minor.

One more point on photos. Forward’s resources page says the kids it represents need professional, industry-standard photos for marketing. If an agency tells you the same, ask whether you can choose your own photographer, as the FTC suggests. For a step-by-step check of any offer, read how to spot a fake casting call.

Frequently asked questions

Do modeling agencies in Atlanta charge a fee to join?

A legitimate one doesn’t. Agencies earn a commission on your bookings, and UWM, for example, says it’s paid on commission from your earnings. A fee to sign up, to shoot your photos or to take a required class is a red flag.

Does my child need a permit to model in Georgia?

Yes. The Georgia Department of Labor says a minor can’t legally work in Georgia without certification. Minors register with the department, and the custodial parent or a court-approved guardian acts as their representative.

Do Atlanta agencies hold open calls?

Few announce them. SLAMM says it doesn’t hold open calls, and AMT disregards walk-ins, so apply online and check the agency’s page for current open call hours.

Can I model and act with the same agency?

Often, yes. HOP, SLAMM, Forward and AMT represent actors as well as models, and AMT’s departments run from print to TV and film.

Do I need professional photos to apply?

To apply, you don’t. Click and SLAMM ask for clear snapshots in natural light, and the FTC says real agents ask for casual snapshots rather than professional photos.
