Phantom of the Opera auditions for dancers

The dancers’ call is on Thursday, November 19, 2026. Male-presenting dancers start at 10:00 a.m., and then female-presenting dancers at 2:00 p.m. Both groups are 18 to mid-20s. First, female-presenting dancers need strong classical training, recent pointe work and a maximum height of 5’6″. Second, male-presenting dancers are athletic, with solid classical technique and a minimum height of 5’10”. Singing is secondary, but it could decide between equally skilled dancers, so prepare a song of your own. Male-presenting dancers bring ballet shoes, and female-presenting dancers bring flats and pointe shoes.

Place, pay and what to bring

Both calls are at Pearl Studios, 500 8th Ave, New York, in holding room Studio 404. Also bring a current photo and resume, stapled together, and your Equity card. An Equity Monitor will be there, too.

It is paid, under a touring agreement with a weekly minimum. However, the salary section also says “non-union”, which conflicts with the Equity request, so confirm it in the official notice.

What an ECC means

Actors’ Equity Association is the U.S. union for professional stage actors and stage managers. The listings seek Equity chorus performers and say ECC procedures are in effect. They do not say whether non-members will be seen.
