What they are looking for
A medium-length independent film shooting in Caballito, a neighborhood of Buenos Aires, is looking for an actor ages 30 to 70. The age range is wide, and the listing does not describe the character or give shooting or rehearsal dates. It is paid, with the amount to be agreed with the production. To apply, send your reel, resume and photos to the email address in the listing. The same production is also casting young actresses and actors for a feature film. The listing does not say who is casting, so make sure it is a legitimate call before you send your details. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
With a range from 30 to 70, make your playing age obvious: a recent front-facing photo with no filters and a full-body shot in neutral clothes. If you have a reel, pick a scene that shows you in a grounded, adult register. Say in your subject line that you are applying for the medium-length film and not the feature, since both share the same inbox. Ask how many shooting days there are and what the pay will be.
