What they are looking for
An actress ages 18 to 29 is wanted for an independent feature film in the works in Caballito, a neighborhood of Buenos Aires. The listing gives few details and leaves out the story, the character and the shooting dates. It is paid, with the amount to be agreed with the production. To apply, send your resume, reel and photos to the email address in the listing. The same production is also casting an actor ages 30 to 70 for the feature and roles for a medium-length film. The listing does not say who is casting, so make sure it is a legitimate call before you send your details. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
For a young lead or supporting role in a feature, your reel matters more than your resume: if it runs long, cut a one-minute version with two scenes in different registers. Add two current photos, front-facing and full body, in natural light with little makeup. Write actress 18 to 29 for the feature film in your subject line. Before you accept, confirm how many weeks of shooting there are and whether the pay covers rehearsals.
