What they are looking for
Disney Live Entertainment is accepting video submissions for The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure, a reimagined live show at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World near Orlando, Florida. They are casting full time and swing performers for Ariel, 5'2" to 5'6", a lyrical pop soprano with a belt to C, and Prince Eric, 5'10" to 6'0", a non singing role. This is an Equity contract and it is paid: $26.00 per hour minimum, with Equity pension, 401K and Disney health benefits. Potential in person callbacks are January 9, 2027 in New York and January 14 in Kissimmee, with rehearsals starting in March or April 2027. Materials go through DisneyAuditions.com by November 16 at 11:30 pm ET. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
For Ariel, pick a cut that moves from lyrical singing into belt without pushing: Part of Your World is the obvious choice, so another pop song with that arc might help you stand out. For Eric, a non singing role, a take that shows charm and physical presence works well, since the character lives in movement. Check the exact materials on DisneyAuditions.com and keep January 9 and 14 open in case you get a callback.
