What they are looking for
Disney Live Entertainment is accepting video submissions from comedic and improv actors for Turtle Talk with Crush, the interactive show at Walt Disney World near Orlando, Florida. They are casting full time and swing performers to play Crush, the surfer sea turtle from the Disney and Pixar films. The show is scripted but strongly improvisational, so you need to impersonate Crush's voice, speak clearly and ideally have good manual dexterity. This is an Equity contract and it is paid: $26.00 per hour minimum, with Equity pension, 401K and Disney health benefits. The monologue to submit is on DisneyAuditions.com, due November 16 at 11:30 pm ET, and callbacks are planned for January 7, 2027 in Orlando. Apply through the original listing.
Castina's tip
Rewatch Crush's scenes in Finding Nemo and practice the voice until you can hold it while improvising, not just for one line. The show is built around kids asking him questions, so it helps to rehearse quick answers to unexpected questions without breaking character. In the monologue, make sure every word is clear: clarity matters more than a perfect impression. Callback invitations go out by December 1, so keep January 7 free.
