Aurora Arts Theatre, a volunteer-driven, non-union community theatre, is casting Beautiful: The Carole King Musical to open its 2027 season, directed by Laurie G. Hoefelmeyer. Auditions are November 13 and 14 in Corpus Christi and include a vocal section led by the music director, a short dance combination and readings from the script. Roles include Carole King (ages 16 to 35), Gerry Goffin (ages 18 to 39), The Shirelles (ages 20 to 30) and The Drifters (ages 20 to 35), plus an ensemble of all ages and body types. Performances run January 22 through March 7, 2027. It is unpaid. Bring a list of your conflicts to the audition. Apply through the original listing.
