Quick answer: Disney Channel and Disney+ auditions in Latin America are organized by the production companies that make each series and by their casting directors. Most are closed and are reached through casting agencies, casting directors and talent agents. When there are open calls, they are posted on those production companies’ social media and on casting websites. In the United States, Disney Channel announces its official talent searches on its own casting page, which says there is never a fee to audition. If you are a minor, always go with a responsible adult, and never pay for an audition.
Acting in a Disney series is the dream of many kids and teens, and also of adult actors: besides the youth series, Disney+ produces fiction for adult audiences in the region. For both, the path is very similar: training, tidy materials and knowing who to follow.
In 2026 Disney bet again on two of its best-known youth series: in March O11CE: Nueva generación premiered and in July Soy Luna: Volver a rodar arrived, the fourth season of Soy Luna. Both came out on Disney+. Every project like this opens cast searches, and whoever has their materials ready arrives with an advantage.
Where are Disney Channel and Disney+ castings posted?
Disney commissions each series from a production company, and that company builds the cast with its casting director. That is why there is no official page that gathers all the Disney auditions in Latin America: each search is run by the team of each project.
Most of those searches are closed. Profiles arrive through casting agencies, casting directors and talent agents, or come out of the casting directors’ databases, which are reviewed as soon as a project starts. That is why having your profile in those databases matters as much as hearing about a casting call.
When the search is open, it is posted on the social media of the production company or the casting director and on casting websites. That usually happens when they look for very specific profiles: kids and teens of an exact age, people who sing, dance or play a sport, or new faces with no previous experience. At Casting and Acting, the open searches for series are gathered in the TV and series castings section.
On Disney+ the mechanism is the same as on the other platforms, so if you are interested in this world it also helps to know how to audition for Netflix, how to reach HBO Max castings and how Amazon Prime Video castings work.
How Disney casts in the United States
In the United States, Disney Channel has an official casting page, titled Disney Channel Talent Search, where it says to stay tuned for information about upcoming open casting opportunities. The page also states that Disney Channel is not affiliated with any acting school or acting workshop and that there is never a fee to audition or attend an official talent search.
Outside those searches, roles are announced through casting breakdowns. According to the Breakdown Services FAQ, the casting director decides whether a breakdown goes to talent agents and managers, to actors on Actors Access, or to both, so a talent agent who can submit you and a current Actors Access profile both help. We explain how those sites work in our guide to casting websites for actors.
If what you want is to perform live, Disney’s official audition site, Disney Auditions, lists auditions for performers at Disney’s theme parks and cruise ships, including Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort and Disney Cruise Line. It is for live performance, not for TV or film casting.
What do you need to audition for Disney?
Being an actor is a job, and like any job it takes preparation. For a Disney series you need, above all, acting training. On-camera workshops add a lot, because almost all auditions are recorded.
Mastering every discipline is not a requirement. What counts is having a solid base and fitting what the character asks for: age, energy, and the way of speaking and moving on camera.
The other pillar is your materials. Before any search you will need:
- Current photos: a close-up and a full-body shot, with good light and no filters.
- Acting resume: your training, your work (even independent theater or short films) and your special skills, such as singing, dancing, sports or languages.
- Reel or intro video: a short video with scenes, a monologue or an on-camera introduction. If you sing, add a video of you singing.
If you do not have them yet, follow this guide to prepare your audition materials. Having them ready lets you reply the same day a casting call appears, and in open searches that makes the difference.
Disney Channel auditions: what they are like and how to prepare
Auditions for Disney series usually have several stages. First you send your materials (photos, resume and a video) or a self-tape with a scene. If you pass that filter, you are called to an in-person audition or a callback, and at the end they may ask for a screen test with other actors in the cast.
Thanks to the self-tape, the first round is often done remotely: they send you the scene and you record it at home, wherever you are. It pays to practice before the request arrives, with this guide to recording a self-tape step by step.
Many Disney Channel series in Latin America were musicals, like Violetta, Soy Luna or Bia, so those searches usually ask for singing and dancing in addition to acting. If you are interested in that path, add singing and dance classes to your training and have a video of you singing ready. And if the series revolves around a discipline, like soccer in O11CE or skating in Soy Luna, that skill counts too.
For the in-person audition or the callback, a few keys help:
- Learn the scene by heart, but do not lock yourself into one way of doing it: it is common to be asked to repeat it with a different intention.
- Dress simply, in comfortable clothes without big logos, unless they ask for something specific.
- Arrive early with your resume and a photo printed, in case they ask for them.
- If it is a musical series, bring a prepared song that feels comfortable.
For kids and teens, a responsible adult always goes to the audition and is the one who signs the authorizations. In the guide to auditions for kids and teens you will find how to start and what to keep in mind, and on YouTube there is our video with tips to land a casting as a minor (in Spanish).
And a rule that never fails: Disney auditions are free. If someone asks you for money in Disney’s name, whether for registration, a headshot package or a course, it is a scam. When in doubt, and before sending any information, see how to spot a fake casting call.
Which production companies make Disney series in Latin America?
Following the production companies is one of the best ways to hear about a search, because they are the ones who build the casts. These are some of the ones that have made Disney Channel and Disney+ series in the region, according to their own sites and the credits of each series:
- Pol-ka (Argentina): produced Violetta (2012 to 2015) and Soy Luna (2016 to 2018) for Disney Channel, and the first season of O11CE. In 2024 it paused its fiction production, so today it is not a good destination for your materials.
- Pegsa (Argentina): produced O11CE (2017 to 2019) and Bia (2019 to 2020), both together with Non Stop, and is the production company of O11CE: Nueva generación (Disney+, 2026). Its site also lists El encargado, Planners and Espartanos among its work for Disney+.
- NonStop Studios (formerly Non Stop Digital): studios and production services born in Argentina and today with offices in several countries. Its site includes Soy Luna, Bia, Tierra incógnita and Siempre fui yo among the Disney and Disney+ projects it worked on.
- Metrovisión: produced Soy Luna: Volver a rodar, the fourth season of Soy Luna, which premiered on Disney+ in July 2026.
- TIS (formerly Estudios TeleMéxico, Mexico): made Viaje al centro de la Tierra (Disney+, 2023), an adventure series with a youth cast up front.
- The Mediapro Studio and TeleColombia: produced Siempre fui yo (Disney+, 2022 to 2024) in Colombia.
- Boutique Filmes (Brazil): signed Mila no Multiverso (Disney+, 2023) together with Non Stop. Before that, Juacas (Disney Channel Brazil, 2017 to 2019) had been made by Cinefilm and Chatrone.
The list shows that Argentina concentrated several of the best-known youth series, but there are also productions in Mexico, Colombia and Brazil: follow the production companies in your country.
Careful: a production company having worked with Disney does not mean it is casting today. Follow it anyway, because teams repeat: Sebastián Pivotto, for example, directed the first season of O11CE and returned to direct O11CE: Nueva generación.
To find out who makes a new series, look at the press notes of the announcement and, when it premieres, at the credits: that is where the production company and the casting director usually appear.
How to send your materials to casting directors
Another way to reach a Disney audition is to get into the database of the people who do the casting for the series. Registration is done from the website or social media of each casting company. Be suspicious if they ask for money to sign you up.
A current example is Correa Casting, the casting company of Mariana and Soledad Correa. Its site lists it as the casting director of Violetta, O11CE and Tierra incógnita (Disney+), plus recent work for Netflix and Star+. It has a free registration for artists at correacasting.com, with a detailed form about your profile.
Do the same with the casting agencies and casting directors of your country: the more serious databases hold your profile, the more chances you have of being called when a search comes up for Disney or for any other production.
One warning: personal emails of casting directors, copied from old articles, circulate on the internet. Send your materials only to the addresses and forms that the production company or the casting director publishes today on their website or official social media. If a contact no longer appears there, it has most likely stopped being used.
Follow the production companies and the series teams on social media
In 2020 we interviewed Guilherme Lessa on our YouTube channel, then a Disney Channel producer on series like Bia. His advice for hearing about casting calls was to follow the companies that produce the series, because many times they are the ones who post the searches on their social media. The talk is still available: watch the interview with Guilherme Lessa (in Spanish).
Besides the production companies, it is worth following:
- The casting directors of the series you like: when the search is open, they usually share it on their accounts.
- The directors and producers of those series, who tend to work together again and sometimes share casting calls.
- The official Disney and Disney+ accounts, to hear about new projects as soon as they are announced. With that information, find out which production company makes the series and follow it.
Turn on notifications for the accounts you care about most: some open calls close in a few days, and hearing late is the same as not hearing.
How to get castings in your country
Disney series come out of the same industry as the rest of each country’s fiction: the same agencies, the same casting directors and the same casting websites. That is why the best training is to move around the castings of your country while the dream search arrives. These guides gather agencies, casting directors and websites by country:
- How to get auditions in Argentina
- How to get auditions in Mexico
- How to get auditions in Colombia
- How to get auditions in Chile

If your country is not on the list, the Latin America casting directory has agencies, Instagram accounts and websites by country.
Frequently asked questions
How can I audition for Disney Channel?
Prepare your materials (photos, acting resume and reel), upload your profile to the databases of the casting agencies and casting directors in your country and follow on social media the production companies that make series for Disney, like Pegsa in Argentina. In the United States, check Disney Channel’s official casting page for talent searches. When a search that fits your profile appears, send exactly what they ask for, in the format and by the deadline they indicate.
Can I audition for Disney if I am a minor?
Yes. Disney’s youth series need kids and teens, so many searches are precisely for minors. A responsible adult always has to go with you and is the one who signs the authorizations. Be suspicious of any casting call that asks to meet you alone, asks for unusual photos or demands that you pay something.
How do I get Disney+ castings?
The same way as for Disney Channel: the Disney+ series in Latin America are made by local production companies, and they are the ones who build the casts. The difference is that Disney+ also produces fiction for adult audiences, like El encargado, so there are roles for all ages. In Spain, Disney Channel stopped airing in January 2025 and its programming moved to Disney+.
When are there castings at Disney Channel?
The dates depend on each project: searches open when a new series or season enters pre-production, and that can happen at any time of the year. That is why it pays to keep your materials always ready and to follow the production companies and casting directors, who are the first to move each search.
Do I need to sing and dance to act at Disney?
It depends on the series. In musical ones, like Violetta or Soy Luna, they usually ask for singing and dancing in addition to acting; in others, like the Disney+ series for adults, the key is acting well on camera. Still, the more skills you have (singing, dancing, sports, languages), the more searches you can cover, so list them on your resume.
Do I have to pay to audition for Disney?
Never. Auditions for Disney and its production companies are free, and nobody can sell you a place in a series. Disney Channel’s official casting page says there is never a fee to audition or attend an official talent search. If you are asked for money for a registration, a mandatory headshot package or a course to get in, it is a scam: cut off contact and report the post on the network or website where you saw it.
What is Disney Auditions?
It is Disney’s official audition site (disneyauditions.com, which now leads to disneycareers.com/auditions). It lists searches for performers for Disney’s theme parks and cruise ships, among them Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Disneyland Paris Resort, Shanghai Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Resort, so in the United States, Europe and Asia. The Disney Channel and Disney+ series in Latin America are cast elsewhere: through the production companies and their casting directors.
How does Disney cast TV roles in the United States?
Through casting directors, who release breakdowns to talent agents and managers and, depending on the casting director, to actors on Actors Access. Disney Channel also announces official talent searches on its own casting page. For live performance at Disney’s parks and cruise ships, the official site is Disney Auditions.
