How to Get Auditions in Peru

In this article

Quick answer: in Peru, most castings come from Lima agencies such as Zebra 3, Perfiles Producciones, Kallpa Casting and Spiral, which post their calls on Instagram, and from accounts that repost them such as @castingenlimaperu. Follow them, send your materials the way each call asks and have your acting resume, headshots and reel ready.

Peruvian cinema is having a good moment: Vino la noche, by Paolo Tizón, won the Special Jury Prize at Karlovy Vary and will represent Peru at the 2027 Oscars and Goyas (Ministry of Culture). In addition, since 2025 Law 32309 requires the Ministry of Culture to set aside at least 6,000 UIT (tax units) every year for film and audiovisual incentives, with 40% going to projects from the regions (DAFO).

Peru also hosts international shoots: Transformers: Rise of the Beasts filmed in Machu Picchu, Cusco and Tarapoto, and Paddington in Peru in downtown Lima and Miraflores (Film in Peru). And local comedy fills theaters: ¡Asu Mare! Los amigos passed 700,000 viewers (Tondero).

Websites and social accounts that post castings in Peru

These are the websites and accounts where calls for Peru show up. It pays to check them often, since many searches close within a few days. To choose where to sign up, see which casting websites are worth using and how to use them.

How to prepare for a casting in Peru

When a call comes up, the winner is whoever answers fast and with complete audition materials. Have this ready before you write to any agency:

Watch out for fake castings

Reputable agencies and production companies in Peru charge the people who hire them, not the actors: joining their database or going to a casting has to be free. Be wary if they ask you for money, intimate photos or to go alone, especially if you’re a minor. We explain how to recognize them in how to spot a fake casting call.

Some agencies sell workshops, headshots or reels, and Online Casting charges a membership for certain castings. None of the agencies in this guide says that buying them is a requirement to apply: if someone demands it, be wary.

Frequently asked questions

Where are castings posted in Peru?

Mostly on the Instagram accounts of the agencies (Zebra 3, Perfiles Producciones, Kallpa Casting, Spiral and Cazting Z) and on accounts that repost calls such as @castingenlimaperu and @solocastingperu. Also on Online Casting Perú and in the castings section of Casting and Acting.

How do I send my materials to a Peruvian agency?

Each call lists the email or WhatsApp number: Kallpa asks for your name, age, phone number and a photo, Zebra 3 has a form for its database and Spiral has a registration form. Send exactly what they ask for, with current photos and, if you have one, your reel.

What rights do I have if I work as an actor in Peru?

The Artist Law (Ley del Artista), amended in 2025 by Law 32409, requires signing a contract before starting work and expands your remuneration rights. If you have already worked in film or TV, you can join Inter Artis Perú to collect your rights as a performer.

Where can I study acting in Peru?

UNAE, formerly ENSAD, is public and has an entrance exam with an artistic test; the PUCP offers the Theater program in its Faculty of Performing Arts, with an academic and an artistic evaluation.

Do I have to pay to apply to a casting in Peru?

Reputable agencies charge the production company or the brand, not the actors. Some sell workshops or headshot packages separately, but going to a casting has to be free: if they charge you for it, be wary.

List reviewed in October 2026. Contacts change: if an agency has stopped operating or you know one that is missing, let us know. For other countries, see the Latin America Casting Directory.
